The first drubchod in the Odsal Ling Temple

Finally we can say that the basic structure of the temple has now been completed. The walls, floors and stairways are all well defined and the golden curved roofs are already giving it a sense of grandeur. The proportions of the building have been greatly enhanced by the four "‘casinhas" located at the four corners of the deck surrounding the shrineroom and by the grand entrance stairs located in front of the temple.

We are already using the temple for events and have just finished doing the first Tara drubchod in a primitive but very blessed shrineroom.

It may seem that we are now near completion, but do we have a long way to go. All the doors, windows, floor coverings, stucco, and plumbing and wiring await completion and so our fundraising efforts continue on with undaunted enthusiasm by the sangha.

Our next steps are to install all the electrical wiring and to fit in place the 150 tons of stones we have received for the front stairway, and we eagerly anticipate the arrival of the artists.
